I used my husbands shampoo and afterwards i noticed there was mold around the rim and and water around the cap?

Mold is bad when it is airborne. You will be totally fine. The quantity was not great enough to affect you. We do water damage and mold removal in Tampa Florida. I doubt you will. Just throw away that shampoo and clean the area in the shower that it was sitting on. If you want, you could wash your hair again with something you know is not moldy :P

i dont think it would be a problem as long as you washed your hair with hot water adn a different shampoo afterwards.
You're fine. But, if you notice Grudge like claws protruding from your scalp..you may want to shave your head.
