What's the best shampoo for cradle cap?

My doc said to use a drop of head and shoulders, but to very careful to avoid getting it in the baby's eyes, as it (obviously) isn't tear-free.

Massaging the baby's head with baby oil and gently combing with a fine toothed baby comb will also help loosen and remove the dandruff. It worked for me x 2!

Good luck! :)What's the best shampoo for cradle cap?
Put olive oil on at night, then wash it off in the morning. It works (but you have to keep doing it again if it comes back)What's the best shampoo for cradle cap?
The best thing that worked for me was some baby oil and a soft tooth brush.
I used Aveeno. I also had the ritual of gently scratching of the dead skin until it went away. This technique took a while, 3-4 days, but it worked and it didn't come back.
baby oil and lots of brushing (with the soft baby brushes).

Shampoo only adds to it so try to use very little no matter what brand it is.
I have been to 3 doctors for this simple problem and they said use selsun blue shampoo and i did and it works wonders. but also but a little baby oil in his/her hair between baths. that should help alot. good luck
johnson and johnsons and regular shampooing and combing.
We used a little baby oil on our newborn for the first few weeks. We would put a light coat on to help her little head retain moisture. I don't know if it did lots of good, but after a while it just went away. If nothing else just give the doctor's office a call. I am sure they can give you a better recommendation. Good Luck...I know that cradle cap is something I didn't like seeing on my baby's head either.
Johnson's and Johnson's. After bath also put baby oil on his/her head. I know it won't be great looking, but it will give the baby's scalp the necessary moisturizer to stop the peeling and flaking.
shampoo doesn't matter unless it's a priscription. use a brush when washing the head and hair and scrub vigorously.just don't hurt your child
Olive Oil or Mineral Oil. Try and shampoo less often actually. If it still doesn't go away ask the pediatrician.
Try Johnson and Johnson
Arbonne Baby Basics cleared up my daughter's cradle cap in just 2 shampoos and it hasn't come back. You can only get it from a consultant though so if you don't know one that can be tricky. The good thing about it is that it's made with only 100% natural plant derived ingredients and has no petroleum products. I've added a link below to a home remedy that a friend gave me and said worked for her but it was too much of a hassel for me, lol. If you'd like to know where to get the shampoo let me know, and good luck!
I don't think that the shampoo matters as much as using a soft brush to gently remove the dry skin when you are washing the baby's head.
Johnson%26amp;johnsons
phisodrem
The thing that worked the best for my four month old was baby oil and his brush, none of the shampoos worked they just dried out his head more.
j%26amp;j w a fine tooth comb
The best for cradle cap is Cradle Cap Treatment from Gentle Naturals it is made by Orajel. I couldn't get anything to clear up my sons cradle cap and I read about this stuff it is almost $8.00 but it is well worth it.
